We often get asked about the meaning behind the name of our company.
Although not the main reason, but when you meet us in person, you will see right away. Sue likes to say she is tiny and that Dean’s height is amplified when standing next to her. The cool thing is that we can both be working on a whiteboard at the same time.
The main reason for our name is that we bring your brand story to life. We distill a lot of information into the most important answers you need for your business. We dig and find lots of data and then turn it into actionable insights. The ampersand also represents possibilities. Positive thinking. Not having to compromise.
So - that's basically the long and short of it.
Curious, energetic, and creative. Dean worked in financial services for over 20 years (he’s older than he likes to admit) though never a banker - at places like Visa, American Express, and JPMorgan Chase. KeyBank brought him to Cleveland after living everywhere from San Francisco to Washington D.C. Then he left the fun world of banking, spending 3 years as a partner and the Chief Strategy Officer with Cleveland’s largest marketing agency. Dean brings a strong leadership background along with expertise in marketing, strategic planning, business development, and innovation. Dean donates his time by serving on the board of the Cleveland International Film Festival, a mentor with College Now Greater Cleveland, and advisory board member with Values In Action.
“Why?” or, “tell me more,” are two of Sue’s most often asked questions. She’s mastered the ability to uncover the true client objective and leverage the right method or resources to get the answers needed. Sue has over 20 years of experience leading insights teams at companies like KeyBank, American Greetings, Malone Advertising and Adcom (yes, acquired much wisdom, but still younger than Dean). Her experience is quite varied and spans pretty much every type of research method and project including ideation, brand health, consumer journeys, product development and concept testing. She donates her time by serving on the board of the JD Breast Cancer Foundation.
